Guidelines for Selling NANI Ads
NANI ads are all sold by member publications. Advertisers can purchase NANI ads directly through the AFCP headquarters office at the full retail price; however, that is extremely rare. Nearly always, ads are placed in the network by NANI participating members. The following information will help you earn substantial sales commissions by selling NANI.

All member publications that participate in NANI are eligible to sell NANI Ads. To maintain the ability to sell NANI ads, selling members must respond to the quarterly NANI audit each quarter and pay AFCP dues timely.

Members selling an advertiser into the NANI program will have the exclusive right to sell NANI ads to that advertiser. No other publication can sell that advertiser into NANI network. However, this right shall lapse if:
- The advertiser has not purchased any NANI ads for period of six (6) months or longer.
- The member does not participate in the NANI network or quarterly NANI audits, pay all AFCP dues as billed on a timely basis, has any past due balance for any reason or fails to provide customer service to the level dictated by the NANI Board of Directors. The NANI Board of Directors shall have the sole right to determine whether an advertiser should be allowed to place advertising through a different member.
Selling Publications may reprint and distribute any and/or all of the NANI Sales Media included on this website for the sole purpose of promoting NANI sales. The NANI Sales Media page includes various flyers and sales tools that will be helpful when discussing the merits of the NANI program with advertisers.
Selling members are encouraged to use these sales materials and to put their own contact information on the materials so potential advertiser's responses will be directed to the selling member. No other changes to the sales materials are authorized.

- For new customers and current customers with significant ad copy changes, deadline is Tuesday 5pm EST. Please clearly mark new ads as needing approval, so AFCP staff can easily prioritize your request. This will greatly speed the approval process.
- For current customers without significant copy changes since last approval, deadline is Wednesday 5 pm EST.
New copy is due 24 hours earlier allowing NANI staff to clear new ads with the NANI Screening Committee. NANI retains the right to refuse any ad it deems objectionable or failing to meet program guidelines. The screening committee includes NANI’s Board of Directors, or their appointees, working in conjunction with AFCP staff. Additional screening options if necessary include: selling papers, state associations of selling papers, the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorney General’s office, Chambers of Commerce and the Federal Trade Commission.
NANI has established standards to protect readers from ads which may be inappropriate and/or a scam. The NANI Board of Directors retains full discretion to allow or disallow any ad from being published through the NANI network.
While a background check is performed before any advertiser is allowed to run advertising in the NANI network, no guarantee, expressed or implied, is provided.
The general guidelines for acceptiblity follow.
- Ads requiring sending money through the mail will be rejected unless; as part of the ad they state: “for postage and handling.”
- “Work at home” ads such as stuffing envelopes will be rejected. Ads inviting information regarding “self-employment” are subject to screening and may be accepted.
- Personal ads such as those seeking “companionship” will be rejected. However, ads for “nannies” are subject to screening and may be accepted. Ads for dating networks will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are subject to being rejected.
- Any political ad must, as part of the ad, note “Paid Political Advertisement,” as well as the name of the person or organization authorizing the ad. The selling paper must verify the authenticity of the person or organization authorizing the ad before submitting to NANI.
- Employment ads must clearly state the position offered; the salary (if stated) is to be clarified as to weekly, monthly, etc.
- Ads for palm readers, fortunetellers, astrologists, psychics or hypnotists will be rejected.
- Ads selling information regarding government surplus, government real estate, government jobs and government vehicles are accepted only in the government ads network.
- Contact NANI headquarters prior to selling ads regarding adoption (human), abortion or pregnancy. Circulation on these types of ads cannot be guaranteed.
- BINGO or gambling ads will be rejected.
- Ads for loans, credit cards, credit lines and financial matters are subject to screening and may be accepted. All advanced-fee loans will be rejected.
All NANI advertisers must maintain a "No questions asked, 100% refund" policy on all products and services advertised through the NANI network.
